Jacinta Kenzy

Ms Jacinta Tan Szu Minn read law at the University of London (2005–2009), graduating at the top of her class with a Bachelor of Laws (Honours). In 2009 she was awarded the DYMM Tunku Ja'afar Challenge Trophy, alongside the Tun Abdul Hamid Omar Scholarship and the Shearn & Delamore Certificate of Legal Practice Scholarship. She was subsequently conferred the Certificate in Legal Practice by the Legal Profession Qualifying Board of Malaysia and admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya.

Ms Tan began her career in the chambers of Messrs Shearn Delamore & Co, where she specialised in tax and transfer-pricing disputes and litigation, as well as competition and antitrust law, and was entrusted with tax matters for several prominent institutions. Her appetite for new challenges soon broadened her practice into corporate and commercial law, and she advised notable clients in both the private and public sectors, within Malaysia and abroad.

This dedication to her clients and pursuit of excellence led her to establish Messrs Jacinta Tan & Partners, which became Messrs Jacinta Kenzy in 2016. As founder and managing partner, she leads a practice spanning conveyancing, conventional and Islamic banking, corporate and commercial matters, probate and family law, civil and criminal litigation, and cryptocurrency regulation in both Malaysia and Hong Kong.

Ms Tan has advised clients across the globe — including established corporations and institutions in China, India, Portugal, Indonesia and Thailand — on matters spanning the full breadth of the firm's practice.
